Etna / Taormina

Ontbijt in het hotel. Deze excursie zal alle liefhebbers van natuur, vulkanologie een onvergetelijke panorama's bekoren. Vertrek 's ochtends vanuit het hotel voor een excursie naar de Etna, met een klim naar 1.800 meter en een bezoek aan de uitgedoofde kraters van het Silvestri gebergte. Optie om de beklimming per veerboot en jeep met berggids te maken tot 2.900 m. Een picknicklunch is inbegrepen in het programma (inbegrepen).

 

In the afternoon continue to Taormina, the beautiful city perched on a promontory with stunning views of Mount Etna and the Mediterranean Sea. Tour of the Greco-Roman theater. Céfalu / Madonie park

After breakfast departure for Cefalù, a picturesque fishing village situated at the foot of a high and imposing rock, full of narrow streets and sea views. The village is world famous for its magnificent cathedral, considered one of the finest examples of Norman architecture. Continue to the medieval town of Castelbuono in the Madonia Chain Natural Park. A charming natural setting where donkeys are used to transport waste. Return to the hotel and dinner.

Piazza Armerina / Agrigento / Temple

Day trip to Piazza Armerina and Agrigento. Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to Piazza Armerina. Tour of the Roman Villa of Casale, UNESCO World Heritage Site, and discovery of the beautiful mosaics. Continue to Agrigento and tour of the famous Valley of the Temples, a unique example of Greek art. Visit to the Temple of Jupiter, Castor and Pollux and the Concord. Return to the hotel and dinner.

Free day to enjoy this beautiful hotel. Option: visit the beautiful Aeolian Islands of Lipari and Vulcano by boat and bus with your guide. Enjoy a wonderful lunch on the islands. After dinner, enjoy a show in the hotel's amphitheater (included).

Monreale / Palermo

Ontbijt in het hotel. Vertrek voor een bezoek aan Monreale, gelegen op 8 km van Palermo. De kathedraal van Monreale is een van de meest geslaagde voorbeelden van Normandische architectuur. Het is een werk van grote elegantie. Ga verder naar Palermo en bezoek het historische centrum te voet: het Teatro Massimo, de Four Corners, Piazza Pretoria en de kerk van Santa Mariadell'Ammiraglio.

 

We will then visit a typical market and continue to the imposing cathedral, a simply incredible monument. Walk to the "Palace of the Normans," which was by turns a fortified castle and an Arab fortress before becoming the residence of the Norman kings in the 12th century.

 

Typical Palermo lunch at the market. Return to the hotel late in the afternoon for an all-you-can-eat buffet dinner. A new show awaits you tonight.
